Another Day

What a shame! My last blog was written in January and today is already April the 13th. I suppose continuing at this frequency won’t help much to improving my English writing.

Compared to the tremendous changes that occurred globally over the past few months, mine was relatively peaceful. Other than embarking on a short trip to Shanghai & Beijing, working, baking and photography, life goes on as usual.

I visited a friend in Shanghai, an ex-colleague of mine whom I met more than 20 years ago. She has just moved to a new apartment and my visit to her was “just the right timing”. She has always regarded me as a artistically inclined person. So, upon my arrival, relying on my flare for house decoration, I helped her to re-arrange the furniture & plants, hang up pictures, buy new table lining and throws etc. I enjoyed the house decorating part not to mention the household hunting at the Flower Market and those small little shops at Shanxi Road.

Didn’t do very much sightseeing and shopping in Beijing this time round but instead, had very sumptuous meals with my brothers and ex-boss. Oh yes, bought quite a number of books and recipes from the bookshop near the hotel.

Weather is chilling but comfortable, which is what I like.

弄了老半天才把照片给搬上来,还真不熟悉。

Get the ball rolling

This blog was created quite some time back but I did not really “take care” of it. Since the New Year has begun, I decided to allocate some of my limited time here apart from my Chinese blog.

When language is concerned, I feel more comfortable with Chinese/mandarin as my main communication tool in my daily life. English is basically for business and office work. I have been writing Chinese Blog for four years and my Chinese writing skill improved tremendously. Hoping to achieve the same for my English language, I guess starting this blog is only natural.

Basically this blog revolves round my daily life and my interests in baking, handicrafts, gardening etc etc. I love taking photographs of my baked stuff since I started to bake 2 years ago. Picture speaks a thousand words, as the saying goes. So you will see more picture than words here.

So, there you go!
